Cermet End Mills
Cermet End Mills are particularly suitable for grey cast iron, ductile iron, hardened steel and some non-hardened steels and heat-resistant alloys. For these materials, there is also a need for cosmetic and microscopic quality assurance of the insert edge, as well as optimal cutting parameters.

Product Description
Series | Cermet milling cutter |
Type | Square milling cutter |
Material | Cermet |
Coating | Uncoated |
Flute | 2/4 flutes |
Advantage | High hardness, good wear resistance; no coating, can be reground, long service life; high temperature resistance, no grinding fluid, can be dry cutting; not easy to produce chip accretion, to achieve mirror effect. |
Usage | It is suitable for high speed machining of steel parts, especially die steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and non-ferrous metal. Suitable for processing aluminum alloy and other easily bonded materials. |
Others | Accept non-standard size customization. |
Compared with cemented carbide blades, ceramic blades can withstand a high temperature of 2000°C, while cemented carbide becomes soft at 800°C, so ceramic blades have high chemical stability and can be cut at high speed, but their disadvantages are Alumina ceramic inserts have low strength and toughness and are easily broken. Because the ceramic blade is resistant to high temperature, it is more conducive to high temperature and high speed cutting.
Cermet is also known as titanium-based cemented carbide, also known as porcelain gold, ceramic gold, etc. It has excellent mechanical properties and high temperature properties. As the name suggests, it not only has the high hardness of ceramic materials, but also has the strength and toughness of metal materials, and the price is relatively low

Precautions for using Cermet End Mills:
1. The cermet blade should not be placed at will when not in use, but should be placed in a special knife holder or storage box to avoid accidentally touching and hurting individuals.
2. The metal ceramic blade is very convenient to use, and its cleaning and health care are also very simple. After use, rinse with clean water. When wiping the blade dry, the handle should be wiped to the blade to avoid hurting your hands.
3. In order to achieve good results, the grinding and cutting of cermet blades and zirconia ceramic tools are very different in material selection and processing. Never use other ceramic knives other than knives, including fishbone, as this will seriously damage the ceramic knives. Do not slap food with cermet knives.
